You know when you visit a new city for the first time and instantly feel you could live there? In a real way, not in a fantasy kind of way. It’s only happened to me twice. Once with Mexico City and then New Orleans. I went to Mexico City years ago, and never expected to love it as much as I did. It was beautiful, the architecture was amazing, the food was delicious, both cheap and expensive, the people were lovely, the museums were great. I just couldn’t get enough. Now, one of my best friends just moved there for work and I’m thrilled at now having a real and regular excuse to go back and eat my weight in tacos.

I’m hoping to visit in a few months when the snow is piling up in NYC and I’m excited to see what the city has to offer since my first trip. My friend has only been there a month now, so is slowly becoming acquainted with the city. I would love to hear if you guys have any recommendations of things that I should definitely check out when I go. I’ve started a list, but please send me any and all musts for Mexico City!
